Scheduling update
I haven’t updated in a while, but I’m hoping to fix that soon with pictures of several projects including some Raging Heroes Blood Vestals and Knight Models The Flash, as well as a Khador EXTREMOTH! Those models will all be entries into this year’s Capital Palette at the NOVA Open.
As for commission scheduling, at this point I am scheduling for November as I’m fully booked until then with several very large projects and a few smaller ones as well. Painted models make great gifts, and now’s definitely the time to get on the books for that! Also, I am selling gift certificates of any denomination $15+. Gift certificates are good for painting services only and cannot be applied to the cost of purchasing a model or postage to ship it. Please contact me if you would like to schedule a commission or purchase a gift certificate!
Khador Juggernaut
I totally forgot to take WIP pictures as I did the base. I used Woodland Scenics Soft Flake Snow for the snow, and Woodland Scenics Water Effects with a little bit of VMC Verdigris glaze mixed in for the ice. In the future, I think I will use a white ink instead of the VMC paint so the ice is a bit more transparent.

I did some work with my Secret Weapon weathering powders. I think they’re awesome, but I can tell I have a lot to learn!
Another difference time makes
Time and practice can make a huge difference in your painting. Today, I looked back at a model I painted about a year ago that I just painted another of. They are Reaper Finari. Although I painted another Finari in between them, it was a commission with a specific time budget and paint quality, and so it really can’t be compared. The yellow and blue Finari was painted in February 2014, and the teal and purple Finari I just finished in June 2015.

This model was such a blast to paint. I’m sure I will end up painting her again down the road, but for now this is definitely my favorite version of her.

Commission scheduling
So I’ve developed a mean case of tendonitis in my right wrist/thumb, and so now I have to wear a splint. This is slowing painting down enormously, so unfortunately this will affect my turnaround on commissions for a while. Due to the several weeks I’ll be spending wearing this splint, already scheduled commissions, and other scheduled events in August, the next available time I have in my schedule for commissions is the 2nd week of September.
WIP Khador Juggernaut
As usual I’m working on several projects at a time. I’m adding a Khador Juggernaut to my WIP pile. Here’s a shot after putting on some modulating rust colors. Some of this will show through when I do some chipping later on.
WIP Reaper Finari
Here are more quick WIP shots of my Reaper Finari. I’m just trying out the red hair, not sure if it’s going to stay or not. I’ve done more work on her teal armor, specifically making parts of the back shinier and adding reflected light. I’ve hit a point where for most of this model working on it further just feels like fiddling.
